RHINO MONITORING AND IDENTIFICATION

You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these iconic species, which are the signature species of our Conservancy. Our rangers are dedicated to monitoring and protecting these magnificent animals, and they know each rhino by name and their home range. During this research-based experience, you’ll learn how to identify rhinos by their unique ear notches and assist our patrol team in collecting data about their body condition, habitat, and activity.

Our night game drive offers you a rare opportunity to witness the bush come alive in the tranquil hours of darkness. With an expert guide and a spotlight in hand, you will get to experience the elusive creatures that come alive in the dark. We recommend that you dress warmly. RUN THE WILD
Run the Wild at Ol Pejeta offers a unique blend of fitness and adventure. Lace-up your running shoes and join our armed rangers on a 5 to 7km route through the breathtaking Ol Pejeta plains. This run will get you to experience a glimpse into the world of Ol Pejeta’s rangers, as you gain a deeper understanding of their duties and the challenges they overcome to protect the wildlife. Activity is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years.
LIVESTOCK-WILDLIFE INTEGRATION
Ol Pejeta operates a unique wildlife-livestock integration model where livestock plays an important role in rangeland management as well as revenue generation for conservation work. BEHIND THE SCENES
We are re-opening the Behind-the-Scenes Experience at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, starting 1st March 2024, that offers guests an engaging and educational experience where you get an exclusive peek into the fascinating world of our chimp residents. Come and get up close and personal with these incredible primates. Guests will be required to sanitize their hands and put on a mask upon alighting from their vehicles and throughout the activity. Masks will be provided.
